Bengaluru remains India's densest tech market. The ceiling is still higher here than in most other cities — especially at product companies and GCCs — but competition and living costs are also higher.

Naukri JobSpeak's August 2026 AI/ML print showed Bengaluru hiring growth around +31% YoY, in line with Chennai and Pune, while Hyderabad grew faster. Hiring growth is not the same as hiring pay: Bangalore still has the thickest right tail.
