DevOps and SRE Salary in India 2026: Platform Is the New “Full Stack”
Reliability pay follows on-call ownership. YAML-only profiles do not get the Zinnov cloud bump.
“DevOps” on a resume in 2026 means anything from Jenkins babysitting to being the person who gets paged when checkout dies.
Zinnov’s GCC 2026 cut put cloud increases around 16% — behind AI and cyber, ahead of the 9.8% average. Taggd-style SRE rows for captives show ₹15–28 LPA early, ₹28–45 LPA in the 5–10 year pocket, and a much fatter band after that. Services DevOps can still look like a slightly decorated ADM CTC.
The interview filter is boring and fair: what broke, what you changed, and whether the next break was quieter. Terraform plus a vendor badge without a reliability story is a mid-band profile.
If you are a backend engineer, the cheapest switch is not “learn Kubernetes on YouTube.” It is own deploy, SLOs, and cost for *one* production surface you already know.
